Help Me: Chair Edition.

January 27, 2009

The Winter has instilled in me a desperate need for a crafty project. I’ve been painting, and stitching, but I’m looking for something more- Perhaps it’s finally time to reupholster a chair.

I’m on the hunt for the perfect chair that needs some loving… Please send any ideas my way.

The Age of Obama.

January 25, 2009

My roomie and I hosted an Innauguration party last Tuesday,  a follow-up to my election night soirée. It feels like I rang in New Year’s three times in the last 3 months- what a wonderful feeling.

Here are a few of my favorite Obama-memorablia finds.

I’m back. Rough week, mes excuses.  I spent the weekend in Elora, a quiet little town just North-West of Guelph. I awoke in a room with the prettiest window light I’d seen in years, and in great company.

Of the few shops open during the Winter, Pariscope stands out.

Being French.

January 16, 2009

This afternoon, I taught an eight year old and her mother there were French Canadians outside of Québec. And even though seven years of English Toronto have bestowed me with solid armor, it hurt.
