I started my French Riviera research for my July adventure- So far, I’ve penciled in a few dinners and lunches in various little seaside towns. But I’m also looking forward to sipping wine inland in beautiful Saint-Paul de Vence.

In my over-achieving years I spearheaded my prom committee. I made a trip to Montreal and Toronto to look for the perfect prom dress only to purchase a safe royal blue dress from my hometown shopping center. If I had to do it all over again, I’d like to think I’d be more adventurous with my choice of outfit!

Last night I watched the 1975 documentary film Grey Gardens. Film makers Albert and David Maysles, Susan Froemke, Ellen Hovde, and Muffie Meyerhe, tell the story of mother-daughter duo Eddie & Eddie Jr. Bouvier Beale. The women live in a disgusting mansion in wealthy East Hampton, New York. The documentary is hilarious.
HBO is airing its version, a made-for-tv movie of the ladies story, on April 18. It stars Drew Barrymore & Jessica Lange. Good for those who don’t tire of the Kennedy’s personal lives.
I’m immersed in wishful holiday dreaming: Hot sandy beaches, delicious meals, reading by the water, cat naps, and afternoons spent discovering. You could roll the dice on any of these fantasy destinations.
