Ochs Design.

June 18, 2009

Lately, I’ve been dreaming more then usual. The idea of finding the perfect living space to renovate and decorate is increasingly calling my name. I especially love the idea of converting a large factory loft into a beautiful living space.

Ochs Design designed this gorgeous artist studio in Williamsburg. I happened to be staying in the Brooklyn neighborhood just two weeks ago, and Williamsburg is an absolute gem.

Dreaming of Tuscany.

Shoot Factory showcases some lovely homes across the world- I’m especially enamored with the Villa Ludovica. The house used to be a convent, and dates back to the 17th century.

Brett Ratner’s Hilhaven Lodge.

March 1, 2009

The March issue of Elle Decor features the fairly modest five-bedrooom home of director/producer Brett Ratner. Set in the Hollywood Hills, the home was built in 1927 by Hoover Dam architect Gordon B. Kaufmann. It holds a rich history of tenants, including Ingrid Bergman, director Richard Quine (& Kim Novak), James Kaan and Alan Carr. It’s absolutely gorgeous- in great thanks to interior designer Waldo Fernandez.

Frank Lloyd Wright.

February 27, 2009

I’m off to Chicago on Monday, and I’d love nothing more then a chance to visit some of Frank Lloyd Wright‘s architectural beauties. Instead, I’ll be stuck in a suburb shooting b-roll in the cold. The bf is a huge fan of Wright, and I’d love for us to see it all up close.
