Last weekend, with a need for some serious retail therapy, I stumbled upon Top Shop’s Petite section. I purchased the first three items below on the spot, and now I’m second guessing my decision not to buy the pretty trench. What do you think? Oh, and tall girls rejoice, there’s an equally wonderful Top Shop Tall section!
I’ve just discovered my neighborhood pub, the Havelock Tavern! A close friend stressed the importance of finding a local, as the Brits call it. Fortunately, mine is right down the street and features an excellent menu and drink selection. I’ve got every intention of spending a big part of this weekend curled up in a booth reading a book! My colleague Abbie has kindly lent me Wolf Hall, a lengthy account of Thomas Cromwell’s rise and fall (I’m a sucker for anything from the Tudor dynasty!) Now if only I could be wearing that pair of boots below…

Ava low-rise straight-leg jeans by Citizens of Humanity; 6. Chrono 42-20 stainless steel watch by Nixon; 7. Inspiration and Ideas Panama Notebook by Smythe; 8. Flat leather boots by Chloé.}
I took a different route home this evening. Working in Soho means having to walk through Oxford Street, or worse, Carnaby Street! In an attempt to curb my spending I altered my path to Regent Street… And there it was, the gorgeous 3-storey Anthropologie. I couldn’t help but drool over the Fall collection: rich neutrals, soft fabrics, and such pretty details.
Surprisingly, the weather in London has been absolutely gorgeous this year -A far cry from my visit last Summer! Even so, my sister wisely recommended I purchase a trench coat, and how could I refuse an occasion to shop!? I’m on the hunt for a pretty, mid-length (I’m petite!) version of the gorgeous yet oh-so-very pricey Burberry trench. I think I’ve found a good contender at Westfield, Europe’s largest shopping mall, which coincidentally is a mere 7 minute walk from my new digs!

Every Spring I convince myself that if I work out really hard for the next 2 months I’ll look fabulous in my bikini -And even though I’ve been spinning for a month already, I know patio season will sway me into après work drinks in no time. Which is why I think a woman should have a variety of swimsuits in her closet -because sometimes you’re just not feeling the frilly white barely there bikini!

In just a few days I’ll be in the UK to film an episode of Mayday. Sadly, the filming takes me nowhere near London, and so I’ve opted to stay the weekend for pleasure! I’m so excited to have a mini-vacation… I’ve got every intention of browsing the London shops, visiting the Tate and sipping many local beers!
